Save the Piggy is a timed tap-to-unpile puzzle. Every level drops a heap of chubby black-and-white spotted pigs onto a green meadow, all lying on top of one another at different angles. Tap a pig and it slides straight out of the heap along the direction its snout is pointing — but only if nothing is lying across that exit path. Clear every pig off the field before the bomb-shaped countdown in the top-left runs out. The opening level uses five pigs and is solvable in a few taps; the very next level throws up a wall of roughly eighty overlapping pigs, and from there the puzzle is about reading which pig is genuinely free and which one is pinned under two others. Four helpers sit along the bottom edge — Undo, Highlight (dims the field and glows every pig that can currently escape), Add Time and Flip — the first two free, the last two behind an optional rewarded video. The shell around the puzzle is a vertical stage map with per-country leaderboards, a coin wallet and a pig-skin wardrobe. The in-game interface is Chinese; the puzzle itself is entirely visual and needs no reading.
How to play Save the Piggy
- Look at the pile: each pig lies at its own angle, and its snout shows the one direction it can slide out toward.
- Tap a pig to send it sliding out along that line and off the edge of the meadow.
- A pig only moves if its exit lane is clear — if another pig lies across the path, the tap does nothing and you have to free the blocker first.
- Work from the outside of the heap inward, since the outer pigs are the ones with open lanes.
- Clear every pig on the field before the bomb timer in the top-left corner reaches zero.
- Stuck? Tap the Highlight helper at the bottom — the field dims and every pig that can currently escape lights up in gold.
Controls
- Desktop: Mouse only — click a pig to slide it out of the pile. No keyboard input is used.
- Mobile / tablet: Tap a pig with one finger to slide it out. The game is built portrait-first for touch and plays natively on phones.
Save the Piggy tips & strategy
- Read the snout, not the body: the head end tells you which way a pig will travel, and that is the only direction it can go.
- Clear the edges first. Pigs on the rim of the heap almost always have a free lane, and removing them opens lanes for the ones underneath.
- Before tapping, trace the pig's exit line to the edge of the field — if any other pig crosses that line, the tap is wasted.
- Save the free Highlight helper for the moment you are genuinely stuck rather than burning it on the opening level.
- Undo is free and unlimited enough to experiment with — use it to back out of a move that buried a pig you needed.
- On the big levels the timer is the real opponent, so keep tapping the obvious outer pigs at speed instead of hunting for a perfect order.
What makes Save the Piggy fun
A tap-only extraction puzzle: heaps of overlapping pigs that each slide out along the direction they face, blocked by whichever pigs lie across their path. A bomb countdown of about four minutes per level, a sharp difficulty jump from five pigs to heaps of eighty, and four helpers — Undo, Highlight, Add Time and Flip — with the first two free. Around the puzzle sits a vertical stage map, country-by-country leaderboards, a coin wallet and unlockable pig skins. Built with Cocos Creator, portrait-first, and playable in the browser with no download.

Save the Piggy FAQ
What is Save the Piggy?
It is a timed puzzle in which a meadow is covered with overlapping pigs. Tapping a pig slides it out of the pile in the direction it is facing, provided no other pig blocks that path, and you win a level by clearing the field before the countdown ends.
Why does tapping a pig sometimes do nothing?
That pig's exit lane is blocked. Each pig can only travel in the one direction its snout points, so if another pig lies across that line it cannot move until you remove the blocker.
How long do you get per level?
Each level starts a bomb-shaped countdown of roughly four minutes in the top-left corner. Running out ends the attempt; the Add Time helper at the bottom extends it in exchange for an optional rewarded video.
What do the four buttons at the bottom do?
Undo takes back your last move and Highlight dims the field and makes every currently escapable pig glow — both are free. Add Time and Flip are optional helpers offered in exchange for watching a rewarded video.
The menus are in Chinese — can I still play?
Yes. The puzzle itself is purely visual: you only ever tap pigs. The Chinese text appears in the lobby, the leaderboard and the helper labels, none of which you need to read to finish a level.
Is this the Flash backyard-running game of the same name?
No. An older Flash-era side-scroller called Save the Piggy, credited to xdesign.cz, also exists, and several unrelated mobile games share the name. The build hosted here is the tap-to-unpile puzzle described on this page.
