About Runner

Runner is a hurdles-style arcade game where you control a sprinter racing automatically down a track. Your only job is timing: tap or click to make your hurdler jump each obstacle as it appears, without breaking stride. The core loop is simple and endless: clear one hurdle, keep your speed, and see how far you can push a clean run before you clip an obstacle.

How to play Runner

1. The hurdler runs forward automatically; you don't control speed or lane, only jumps.
2. Tap the screen (mobile) or click/press the jump key (desktop) just before reaching each hurdle.
3. Time the jump so your hurdler clears the obstacle without stumbling.
4. Chain jumps back-to-back to keep a steady stride and build up your run.
5. Watch the upcoming obstacles as they scroll into view so you are not caught off guard.
6. A mistimed jump or missed hurdle ends the run; try again to beat your distance or score.

Controls

• Desktop: Click the game screen or press the jump key (typically spacebar or up arrow, shown in-game) to jump over each hurdle.
• Mobile / tablet: Tap anywhere on the screen to jump.

Runner tips & strategy

• Jump slightly before the hurdle reaches your character, not right on top of it, since timing has a small margin and late taps cause stumbles.
• Keep a consistent tap rhythm rather than reacting late to each obstacle; anticipating the pattern clears hurdles more smoothly.
• Stay focused on the near edge of the screen where hurdles first appear, since that is your earliest warning.
• Play a few short runs first to get a feel for the jump timing before trying to chase a long streak.
• On mobile, tap with a single decisive finger tap rather than a drag or long press to avoid missed inputs.
