Sheep Sheep is a browser puzzle game presented in portrait orientation. Its menu is a plain green screen with a wide "Start catching sheep" button, plus Achievement, shop, Sign in and install buttons and a circular countdown badge. Levels are chosen from a fenced level-select grid in which every level is a sheep-shaped button; on the build hosted here only level 1 was open and every other button read "Not unlocked". A level puts cartoon sheep on separate cells of a dark metal grid board, with a staging row of translucent multi-cell blocks below it. Every block carries a gold rope that ends in an open loop. You drag a block up onto the board, and in both of the tutorial's demonstrations the sheep whose cell the loop landed on was left encircled by that loop. The built-in tutorial states the goal in its own words: drag the bricks to trap the sheep, click a placed brick to unlock the sheep, and put in all the bricks to lasso all the sheep.
How to play Sheep Sheep
- From the menu screen, press "Start catching sheep" to reach the level-select grid.
- Pick an unlocked level. Levels are shown as sheep-shaped buttons, and locked ones are captioned "Not unlocked".
- Read the board: cartoon sheep stand on separate cells of a grid, and a staging row below holds translucent blocks several cells in size. Each block has a gold rope drawn on it that ends in an open loop.
- Drag a block from the staging row up onto the board. The tutorial's wording is "Click and drag the bricks to trap the sheep".
- Aim so the loop lands on a sheep's cell. In both tutorial demonstrations the block settles onto the board and the sheep the loop covered is left encircled by it.
- Click a block that is already sitting on the board to unlock the sheep it holds — that is the second tutorial step, "Click on the bricks to unlock the sheep".
- Keep going until the staging row is empty. The closing tutorial line is "Continue the game, put in all the bricks, and lasso all the sheep".
- If you get stuck, the in-level HUD offers "Tips" for 100 coins and a "Skip" button marked with a video-play badge. The "Return" arrow leaves the level.
Controls
- Desktop: Mouse only. Click and drag a block from the staging row onto the grid to place it, and click a block already on the board to unlock the sheep inside it. Menu, level-select and HUD buttons (Return, Tips, Skip, Next step, Finish) are clicked normally. No keyboard input appears anywhere.
- Mobile / tablet: We have not played it on a touchscreen, so this is inferred from the layout and the mouse actions: the game is portrait and every action is either a press-and-drag or a single press, so the same two gestures should map to touch — drag a block from the staging row onto the grid with one finger, and tap a placed block to unlock its sheep. Buttons are tapped.
Sheep Sheep tips & strategy
- The loop is the part of the block that does the work. Each rope ends in a single open ring, and in both tutorial demonstrations the sheep that ended up captured was the one that ring covered.
- Blocks span several cells and come in different bent shapes, so check what else a block's footprint will land on before you drop it.
- Placing a block is not the last step. The tutorial teaches a separate click on an already-placed block to unlock the sheep it caught.
- The live playing view is zoomed in and cuts the staging row off at both edges of the screen. The zoomed-out tutorial view shows more blocks than the two you can see while playing.
- "Tips" costs 100 coins from the in-level bar, so it is worth spending only when you are genuinely stuck.
- A drag can end with the block back in the staging row and the sheep untouched, so one that looks close is not guaranteed to stick.
- The first level opens with a three-step guided tutorial with Next step and Finish buttons before the board becomes free to play.

Sheep Sheep FAQ
What do you actually do in Sheep Sheep?
You drag blocks from a row below the board onto a grid where cartoon sheep are standing. Each block carries a gold rope that ends in an open loop, and in the tutorial the sheep whose cell the loop lands on ends up encircled by it. The game's own captions describe this as trapping and lassoing the sheep.
What happens after I place a block on a sheep?
The tutorial's second step highlights a block already sitting on the board with a sheep inside its loop and tells you to click that block to unlock the sheep. So placing the block and clicking it afterwards are two separate actions.
Can I play every level right away?
Not on the build hosted here. The level-select screen shows level 1 with a yellow highlight ring and every other sheep-shaped button captioned "Not unlocked". The grid continues past the bottom of the screen, so the total number of levels is not visible.
Is there any help if I get stuck on a level?
The in-level bar has a "Tips" button with a lightbulb icon priced at 100 coins, and a "Skip" button marked with a small video-play badge. A "Return" arrow takes you back out of the level.
How many sheep are on a level?
Level 1 has six sheep, each standing on its own cell: one with curled brown horns, one with pale horns, one with dark goat horns, two with black faces, and one dark grey sheep holding a small orange ball. We have not checked how many sheep later levels hold.
