About Drive Mad

Drive Mad is a physics-based driving game where reaching the finish line is far harder than it sounds. You don't steer — you control only a throttle and a brake, and the real challenge is managing momentum and the car's pitch. Accelerating lifts the nose up; braking pitches it down, and you use those subtle shifts to balance across ramps, narrow beams, collapsing bridges, ice, and gaping pits. Each level is a short, self-contained puzzle with its own vehicle, from monster trucks and stretched limos to square-wheeled contraptions and rocket cars. Crash, flip, or fall and the level restarts instantly, encouraging fast trial-and-error. Created by Swedish developer Martin Magni on his Fancade platform and hugely popular through Poki and other portals, Drive Mad rewards patience, precise timing, and gentle taps over reckless speed.

How to play Drive Mad

1. Press and hold the accelerator to drive forward toward the finish flag at the end of each level.
2. There is no steering — you only control forward throttle and brake/reverse.
3. Tap the pedals in short bursts instead of holding them to keep the car balanced.
4. Accelerating lifts the nose up and braking pitches it down; use this to angle the car in mid-air and on slopes.
5. Reach the finish with the car intact — if you flip, crash, or fall, the level restarts instantly.
6. Watch for red buttons, keys, or blocks; activating them is often required to open the path forward.

Controls

• Desktop: Use the arrow keys or WASD: right/up to accelerate forward, left to brake and reverse — there is no steering. On most versions R restarts the level and P pauses. Short taps give far better control than holding a pedal down.
• Mobile / tablet: Tap and hold the on-screen accelerate and brake buttons. Tap in short bursts to balance the car and adjust its angle while airborne.

Drive Mad tips & strategy

• Master the tap: rapid short presses give much more precise control than holding the pedal.
• Aim to land on the rear wheels first so the suspension absorbs the impact and you don't flip.
• Slow down before ramps and gaps — controlling momentum beats raw speed.
• Study the whole level before committing, noting moving platforms and hazard timing.
• Look for red elements; they usually unlock or trigger the route to the finish.
• Feather the throttle in mid-air to rotate the car flat for clean landings.
