Hexa Sort is a hybrid-casual sorting puzzle built around stacks of colored hexagon tiles. Each turn you drag a small stack from a tray onto a compact hexagonal board (about 19 cells), trying to nestle same-colored tiles beside one another. When matching colors end up adjacent and unobstructed, the tiles slide together and pile up on their own; once a single color reaches a full stack of ten it clears from the board with a satisfying pop, freeing space and pushing your point target for the level. The twist is that stacks are multi-layered, so clearing the top color exposes a different color underneath, forcing you to plan several moves ahead and chain cascade merges. Boosters such as a hammer (destroy a stack) and a swap help when the board jams. First launched on mobile in 2023 by publisher Lion Studios and later playable free in browsers, it blends relaxing, ASMR-style feedback with real spatial planning.
How to play Hexa Sort
- Drag a hexagon stack from your tray and drop it onto any empty cell on the board.
- Place stacks so their top-color tiles sit next to matching colors already on the board, which makes the tiles auto-merge into one pile.
- Build a single color up to a full stack of ten tiles to clear it from the board and score points.
- Clearing a top layer exposes the different color underneath, so line up chain reactions that cascade through the layers.
- Reach each level's point target by clearing stacks before you run out of empty cells.
- Use the hammer to destroy a stuck stack or the swap booster to change your incoming tiles when the board jams.
Controls
- Desktop: Hold the left mouse button to pick up a hexagon stack, drag it to an empty board cell, and release to drop it.
- Mobile / tablet: Tap and hold a stack, drag it with your finger to an empty cell, and lift your finger to place it.
Hexa Sort tips & strategy
- Keep one or two cells empty at all times; a full board with no available merge is how you lose.
- Cluster the same colors in one region so future stacks always have somewhere to connect.
- Read the upcoming stacks in your tray and plan placements two or three moves ahead.
- Deliberately clearing a top color to expose a needed color underneath often beats a quick surface match.
- Chain cascades by lining up several matching stacks so one clear triggers the next.
- Save the hammer and swap boosters for genuine deadlocks instead of spending them early.

Hexa Sort FAQ
Is Hexa Sort free to play?
Yes. Hexa Sort is free to play in the browser (a WebGL version) and as a free mobile download on Android and iOS, supported by ads and optional in-app purchases.
Who developed Hexa Sort?
Hexa Sort is published by Lion Studios (Lion Studios Plus) and developed by gamebra.in, the casual-games team associated with Mindstorm Studios. The Android package name (com.gamebrain.hexasort) reflects the gamebra.in developer.

Can I play Hexa Sort without downloading it?
Yes. Besides the mobile apps, a browser version runs directly on portals like CrazyGames with no install required.
What are the boosters in Hexa Sort?
The main helpers are a hammer that destroys a stuck stack and a swap/replace option that changes your incoming tiles, letting you break deadlocks when the board fills up.
