Sweety Mahjong swaps the traditional bamboo, circle and character suits for sweets, and that is the whole proposition: the same mahjong solitaire rules with a tile set you can read instantly. It matters more than it sounds. The thing that makes traditional mahjong solitaire slow for newcomers is not the rules, which take thirty seconds to explain, but telling a seven of bamboo from an eight at a glance across a crowded board. Candy tiles do not have that problem. Underneath, this is a proper version of the genre with several difficulty levels and layouts that reward finding the hidden moves rather than the obvious ones, and the game makes a point of there being no commitment: it is free, there is nothing to install, and you can close the tab mid-layout. It is the sweet-themed counterpart to the Christmas and Nordic editions, and the most approachable of the traditional-rules mahjong games here.
How to play Sweety Mahjong
- Find two identical candy tiles that are uncovered and open on the left or right.
- Select them to remove the pair.
- Keep clearing pairs to reach the tiles underneath.
- Hunt for the less obvious matches when the easy ones run out.
- Clear the layout, then try a higher difficulty level.
Controls
- Desktop: Click a tile, then click its match.
- Mobile / tablet: Tap a tile, then tap its match.
Sweety Mahjong tips & strategy
- The readable tile set is the reason to pick this one. Use the speed it gives you to scan the whole board rather than to click faster.
- Hidden moves are the stated challenge: when you run out of obvious pairs, check the ends of rows and the edges of the lower layers before assuming you are stuck.
- Raise the difficulty once you are clearing layouts comfortably; the lower settings interlock the stacks much more loosely.
- With four identical tiles showing, decide which two to take before taking either, because the wrong choice can strand the other pair.

Sweety Mahjong FAQ
What makes Sweety Mahjong easier to read?
It replaces the traditional bamboo, circle and character suits with sweets. Distinguishing a seven of bamboo from an eight is the slow part of traditional mahjong solitaire; candy tiles remove that entirely.
Is it four-player mahjong?
No. It is mahjong solitaire, the single-player tile-matching puzzle, with no opponents and no melds.
Are there difficulty levels?
Yes, several. The easier settings interlock the stacks loosely; the harder ones bury far more of the board.
Do I need an account?
No. It is free, runs in a browser tab, and requires nothing to be installed or signed up for.
