BattleBox is a memory-and-deduction puzzle game played on a grid of covered squares, in the spirit of Minesweeper. At the start of each level the grid briefly shows what's hidden underneath — treasure, strawberries, or monsters — before everything is covered again, so you have to remember (or re-derive) what's where. You then use the icon markers beside each row and above each column to select and reveal squares, collecting every treasure on the grid while avoiding monster squares to advance to a tougher layout.
How to play BattleBox
- At the start of a level, take note of what the grid briefly shows before it covers everything: treasure, strawberries, and monster locations.
- Use the icon above a column and the icon beside a row together to select and reveal the square where that row and column intersect.
- Uncover every treasure square on the grid to clear the level and move to the next one.
- Revealing a monster square costs you one strawberry (health); revealing a strawberry square restores one if you have lost any.
- Rely on what you remember from the brief opening reveal, narrowing things down further as you uncover squares.
- Optionally watch a rewarded ad to briefly reveal the whole grid layout again if you get stuck or lose track.
Controls
- Desktop: Mouse only - use the row and column icons to select a square, then click to reveal it.
- Mobile / tablet: Tap the row and column icons to select a square, then tap to reveal it.
BattleBox tips & strategy
- Pay close attention during the level's opening reveal, since that brief look at the grid is your main source of information about where treasure and monsters are.
- Start with squares you're confident about from the opening reveal before guessing at ones you're unsure of.
- Keep track of your three strawberries and stop guessing blindly once you have lost two, falling back on what you remember instead.
- If you lose track of the layout partway through a level, the rewarded-ad reveal is a safe way to refresh your memory of the grid without losing health.
- Clear a level methodically rather than clicking at random, since a wrong guess costs health you may need later in the level.
What makes BattleBox fun
BattleBox blends Minesweeper-style grid logic with a memorization twist: each level opens with a brief full reveal of the grid before it's covered, so success depends on recall as much as deduction. The mine-defusing tension of the original formula is replaced by treasure collecting and a forgiving three-strawberry health system, making it approachable for casual and puzzle fans alike.
