Save Stranding Fish is a browser-based logic puzzle from Chinese HTML5 studio Yizhiyuan Network Technology. Ocean waves have washed a crowd of odd, two-legged fish onto a circular beach grid, and each one sits stuck in a jam of its neighbors. Click any fish with a clear lane to send it straight into the water; for blocked fish, drag the head - the tail can't move - into an open space to open a path for the rest. Because freeing one fish can wall off another, working out the right rescue order is the whole game. Across 100 islands the grids get denser and less forgiving, while a battery-style energy meter, ad-gated hints, and unlockable skins add the usual free-to-play trimmings around a genuinely tidy, Sokoban-flavored core.
How to play Save Stranding Fish
- Open an island from the level map - Save Stranding Fish runs 100 in total, unlocked roughly in order.
- Survey the beach grid: two-legged fish are wedged among circular spaces, each blocking one or more of its neighbors.
- Click or tap any fish that already has a completely open lane to send it swimming into the water immediately.
- For a blocked fish, click/tap-and-drag its head (front end) into an open circle to reposition it - the tail end is fixed and cannot move.
- Clear fish in the correct order - freeing the wrong one first can trap the rest on the beach - to empty the island before you run out of moves or battery.
- Optionally watch a short rewarded ad to recharge the battery after mistakes, reveal a hint, or unlock a new fish skin.
Controls
- Desktop: Click any unblocked fish to send it swimming into the water. For a blocked fish, click-and-drag its head (front end) into an open circle on the grid to give it - or a fish behind it - a clear lane. The tail end is fixed and cannot be dragged.
- Mobile / tablet: Tap any unblocked fish to release it. For a blocked fish, press and drag its head with a finger or stylus into an open space on the grid; the tail stays anchored.
Save Stranding Fish tips & strategy
- Scan the entire grid before touching anything - identify any fish with a fully open lane first, since dragging the wrong fish early can wall off several others.
- Only the head end of a fish is draggable; plan each move around where that free end can actually reach, not where you wish the whole fish could go.
- Fish nearer the water's edge usually need to exit first so fish behind them aren't sealed in - work roughly outside-in when the grid allows it.
- Treat the first 15-20 islands as a tutorial for the order-dependent logic before layouts add many more fish and tighter circle grids.
- If a layout seems unsolvable, use the ad-gated hint or recharge the battery rather than assuming you've hit a dead end - later islands are designed to be tight, not impossible.
What makes Save Stranding Fish fun
Built in the Cocos Creator engine as a lightweight HTML5 title (mobile-portrait friendly, ~800x600 base canvas), Save Stranding Fish runs 100 numbered island levels of increasing grid density. Its defining mechanic is asymmetric dragging - only a fish's head can be repositioned, never its tail - which turns each level into an order-of-operations puzzle rather than a simple match or sort. Free-to-play systems layer on top: a battery/energy meter that drains on mistakes and gates new islands, rewarded-ad hints for stuck players, and purely cosmetic fish skins unlocked the same way.

Save Stranding Fish FAQ
Who developed Save Stranding Fish?
Yizhiyuan Network Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese HTML5/Cocos Creator studio also credited with casual browser titles like Puppy Blast, Bear Boom, and Jelly Crush, per GameDistribution's game catalog listing.
How many levels does Save Stranding Fish have?
100, presented in-game as numbered "islands" that a player unlocks and clears one at a time, with grids growing denser as you progress.
Can I move a stranded fish's tail?
No. Only the head (front end) of a fish can be dragged to a new grid space - the tail stays fixed in place, which is the core constraint every puzzle is built around.
Is Save Stranding Fish the same game as Save Lazy Fish?
They share a very similar drag-the-head, order-matters mechanic and beach setting, but they are different games - Save Lazy Fish is credited on other portals to a separate studio, CocosGame, not Yizhiyuan Network Technology.
What happens if I make a mistake?
Wrong moves drain a battery/energy meter that gates access to further islands; you can typically top it back up by watching a short rewarded ad or waiting for it to recharge.
Is Save Stranding Fish free to play?
Yes. It's a free, no-download HTML5 (Cocos Creator) browser game distributed to sites like Y8, GameDistribution-powered portals, and mobile browsers, supported by optional rewarded ads for hints, battery, and cosmetic skins.
