Match Mystery is a browser-based match-3 puzzle game playable free on GamePix. The core loop is classic tile-matching: swap adjacent gems on a grid to line up three or more of the same type — in a row, column, or L-shape — clearing them from the board to score points and clear the level's objective. It uses a level-based structure with escalating difficulty rather than a single endless board.

How to play Match Mystery

1. Look at the grid of colored gems and pick two adjacent gems to swap.
2. Swap gems so that three or more of the same color line up in a row, column, or L-shape.
3. Matched gems clear from the board and new ones drop in from above.
4. Keep chaining matches to reach the level's score or clear target before you run out of moves.
5. Watch for special gem patterns that can appear from bigger matches and use them to clear extra tiles.
6. Progress from one level to the next as difficulty and board complexity increase.

Controls

• Desktop: Click and drag (or click one gem, then click an adjacent gem) to swap tiles.
• Mobile / tablet: Tap and drag a gem into an adjacent tile to swap it, or tap-tap two adjacent gems.

Match Mystery tips & strategy

• Scan the whole board before moving - a swap elsewhere may open up a bigger combo than the first match you spot.
• Prioritize matches near the bottom or center of the board so cleared tiles trigger more cascading drops.
• Look for bigger matches (4 or more gems, or an L-shape) when possible - larger matches tend to reward more than a basic 3-match.
• If you're low on moves near the level goal, focus only on matches that directly clear the target gem color or objective tiles.
• Take a moment between moves rather than swapping randomly - match-3 boards reward planning over speed since there's no time pressure on most moves.
