About Dreadhead Parkour

Dreadhead Parkour is a fast, side-scrolling skill platformer from indie studio GameTornado, the team behind the Short Life series. You control Dreadhead, a nimble, dreadlocked runner with loose, physics-driven movement, racing through trap-packed levels from the start line to the exit. Progress means chaining precise jumps, mid-air front- and back-flips, slides, and wall jumps to clear rotating saw blades, spike pits, swinging blades, bombs, and wide gaps. One wrong step sends Dreadhead crumpling in ragdoll fashion, and death restarts the current level instantly — so expect fast, low-stakes trial-and-error. Golden coins line each course, and grabbing them unlocks a wardrobe of new character skins, while collecting everything rewards a clean, complete run. Free to play in any browser and also available on iOS and Android, it favors quick resets, tight timing, and stylish, flow-based movement over punishing length.

How to play Dreadhead Parkour

1. Run right with D or the Right Arrow, and back up with A or the Left Arrow.
2. Press W or Up to jump; press jump again in mid-air to double-jump into a front- or back-flip for extra height and distance.
3. Hold S or the Down Arrow to slide under low barriers and spinning saw blades.
4. Jump into a wall and press jump again to wall-jump up tall surfaces.
5. Time your moves around moving hazards - saws, bombs, and swinging blades - then reach the level's exit.
6. Grab the coins along the route to unlock new skins, and aim for a full, clean clear.

Controls

• Desktop: Move: A/D or Left/Right arrows. Jump: W or Up Arrow (press again in mid-air to double-jump/flip). Slide: S or Down Arrow. Wall-jump: press jump again against a wall.
• Mobile / tablet: On-screen touch buttons - left/right to move, a jump button (tap again in the air to flip), and a slide button; some versions use swipe up to jump and swipe down to slide.

Dreadhead Parkour tips & strategy

• Keep your momentum - Dreadhead handles better at speed, so run into jumps rather than stopping dead in front of them.
• Double-tap jump for a flip when you need extra height or distance to clear a wide gap or a tall spike.
• Watch a hazard's pattern (saw rotation, blade swing, bomb timing) for a beat before committing to the jump.
• Start your slide slightly early so your hitbox is already low by the time you reach a saw or low barrier.
• Use the checkpoints to rehearse - dying costs little, so repeat a tricky section until the timing is muscle memory.
• Only detour for coins when the route is clearly safe; a clean finish beats a greedy grab that ends on a saw.
