The level design encourages this by stacking colours in layered formations instead of scattering them evenly, so there is almost always a structural shot available if you look for it. • Read the board for structure before you read it for colour. The best shot is usually the one that removes a support, not the one that pops the most bubbles directly.
• If two shots pop the same number of bubbles, take the higher one. Clearing from the top down creates drops; clearing from the bottom up does not.
• Awkward colours that keep coming up are a signal, not bad luck. Spend one shot parking an unhelpful bubble somewhere harmless rather than forcing a bad match.
• The animations tell you how good a shot was. If a clear produced no cascade, the next similar shot probably will not either.
