About World of WarTanks

World of WarTanks is a browser-based tank combat game by Andles Games, also published on Google Play, Yandex Games, and Playgama. You pick a tank, take it into battle across multiple game modes, and destroy enemy vehicles while completing missions. Stars earned from missions and battles are used to unlock and upgrade additional tanks, giving the game a light progression loop on top of the combat.

How to play World of WarTanks

1. Choose a tank and select a game mode: Mission, Survival, or 5 vs 5 Battle.
2. Drive your tank and position it relative to enemies and terrain features like hills and buildings.
3. Aim at an enemy tank until your sight locks on (the reticle turns red), then fire to damage or destroy it.
4. Complete mission objectives or survive enemy waves to earn stars - early missions award fewer stars, later ones more.
5. Spend earned stars to unlock new tanks and upgrade the ones you own.
6. Use hills, structures, and other obstacles on the map to break enemy line of sight while lining up shots.

Controls

• Desktop: Reported control schemes vary by version: move with WASD, fire with the left mouse button, and aim by moving/holding the right mouse button; some listings instead describe arrow-key movement with spacebar to fire. Try WASD plus mouse first.
• Mobile / tablet: On touchscreen devices, use the on-screen movement control (arrow buttons or a virtual joystick) along with dedicated on-screen fire and aim buttons/touch-to-aim controls.

• Keep moving rather than sitting still; a stationary tank is an easier target.
• Use hills, buildings, and other obstacles to break enemy line of sight before lining up a shot.
• Try to approach or flank enemies from an angle rather than head-on, so you're not the only one exposed.
• Prioritize finishing missions early to build up stars for unlocking better tanks rather than only grinding survival mode.
• In 5v5 battles, stick near teammates so you can back each other up instead of getting picked off alone.
