About Blumgi Slime

Blumgi Slime is a one-button physics arcade platformer from the French indie studio Blumgi (solo developer Loïc Roger), released on Poki in February 2023. You control a squishy, wobbling slime that can only move by jumping. Hold the button to charge power, then release to launch: the longer you hold, the higher and farther the slime flies. Every level asks you to bounce, arc and roll onto a checkered finish platform without landing on spikes or dropping into gaps. Across roughly 150 short levels the game keeps introducing fresh obstacles: moving platforms, slippery surfaces, tight ledges and giant bouncy balls that fling you across the screen. A local two-player mode adds a second slime on the same device for co-op or racing fun. Bright, minimalist art and instantly readable one-touch controls make it easy to pick up but genuinely tricky to master.

How to play Blumgi Slime

1. Hold the Space bar or left mouse button (or tap and hold on a touchscreen) to charge your slime's jump.
2. Watch the power build up while you hold: a longer hold means a higher, longer leap.
3. Release the button to launch the slime toward the next platform.
4. Time your jumps to clear spikes, gaps, moving platforms and giant bouncy balls.
5. Land on the checkered finish platform to complete the level and unlock the next one.
6. Optional: switch on 2-player mode so a friend controls a second slime on the same keyboard.

Controls

• Desktop: Hold Space or the left mouse button to charge a jump, then release to launch. The longer you hold, the higher and farther the slime jumps. In local 2-player mode each player controls their own slime with a dedicated key.
• Mobile / tablet: Tap and hold anywhere on the screen to charge the jump, then lift your finger to launch. Longer holds produce bigger jumps.

Blumgi Slime tips & strategy

• Use small, precise taps for short hops and only fully charge the meter when you truly need maximum distance.
• Watch the slime's wobble and momentum when it lands, it can slide or bounce off narrow ledges before you jump again.
• On slippery surfaces, aim to land dead-center of the platform and jump off quickly before you slide away.
• Turn giant bouncy balls to your advantage: a well-timed bounce can carry you across gaps you can't clear on your own.
• Learn the rhythm of moving platforms and release your jump just before they line up with your landing spot.
• Don't rush; many failures come from over-charging, so under-shooting slightly is usually the safer mistake.
