About Tower Defense

Tower Defense is a browser-based strategy game built with the Phaser engine, first released in 2021. Players place defensive units along a battlefield to stop successive waves of enemies from getting through, earning currency from each wave to unlock and upgrade stronger units. The core loop is classic tower-defense: survive a wave, spend earnings, strengthen your line, then face a tougher wave.

How to play Tower Defense

1. Click (or tap) open spots on the map to place a defensive unit.
2. Choose from units with different range, speed, and power to cover the enemy path.
3. Start or let the wave begin, and watch your units automatically fire on approaching enemies.
4. Earn currency for each enemy defeated or wave survived.
5. Spend currency to place additional units or upgrade existing ones between waves.
6. Keep adjusting your lineup and positioning as enemies get tougher in later waves.

Controls

• Desktop: Mouse only — click to select and place units, click again to upgrade or manage them.
• Mobile / tablet: Touch controls — tap to place and manage units; playable in landscape orientation on phones and tablets.

Tower Defense tips & strategy

• Place longer-range units near the start of the enemy path so they get extra hits before enemies close in.
• Mix fast, low-power units with slow, high-power ones to cover both weak swarms and tough single enemies.
• Upgrade existing units before overspending on new ones once a chokepoint is already well covered.
• Save some currency heading into a new wave rather than spending it all immediately, in case you need to react to a tough enemy type.
• Watch enemy patterns each wave — reposition or add units at spots where enemies are slipping through.
