WW1 Battle Simulator is a 3D isometric tactics game set on the WW1 battlefield where you deploy an army of period-themed units before combat, then watch the fight play out automatically. Money you earn from winning battles is spent on placing units on the map before the clash; once fighting starts, each unit follows its own AI movement pattern and you can't directly control it. The goal each level is to wipe out the enemy force while keeping your own casualties low and the battle short, which earns you a star rating and unlocks more unit types.
How to play WW1 Battle Simulator
- Left mouse click a unit icon in the deployment bar to select it.
- Move the cursor to an open spot on your side of the battlefield and click again to place the unit.
- Keep placing units as long as you have money - each unit's cost is shown under its icon, your current funds sit at the bottom center of the screen.
- Once you're done deploying, start the battle and watch your troops fight the enemy army automatically.
- Win with a quick victory and minimal losses to earn more stars, then use those stars/wins to unlock additional unit types for future battles.
Controls
- Desktop: Mouse only - left-click to select a unit, left-click again on the battlefield to deploy it. No keyboard needed.
- Mobile / tablet: Tap to select a unit and tap again on the battlefield to place it.
WW1 Battle Simulator tips & strategy
- Don't dump all your money into one unit type early - a mixed force covers more situations once the AI takes over.
- Spread deployments across the width of your zone instead of stacking units in one spot, so the enemy can't wipe out a cluster in one pass.
- Save a little money to reinforce mid-battle rather than spending your entire budget in the opening seconds.
- Replay earlier levels once you unlock stronger units - going back with a better roster makes it easier to grab a 3-star, low-casualty clear.
- Since you can't redirect units after deployment, think about placement (front line vs support) before you click to confirm.
What makes WW1 Battle Simulator fun
The appeal is the hands-off payoff: you make all the tactical calls in the short deployment phase, then sit back and watch a chaotic, cartoonish WW1 battle resolve itself, with new unit types to unlock as a steady progression hook.
