Robo-Butcher is a 2D side-view arena shooter where you control a robot defending against waves of hostile robots that spawn from portals scattered across a multi-platform arena. You fight, earn money for each enemy destroyed, and can visit a shop between rounds to upgrade your robot's health and firepower. The core loop is survive, earn, upgrade, and go back in stronger, with the run ending once your health runs out.
How to play Robo-Butcher
- Move left and right across the platforms with A and D.
- Jump with W or Space, and press S to drop down through a platform.
- Aim with the mouse and left-click to fire your weapon at enemy robots spawning from the portals.
- Right-click to dash out of danger or reposition quickly during a fight.
- Destroy robots to earn money, then visit the shop between waves to spend it on health and upgrades.
- Keep clearing waves and upgrading for as long as possible - the run ends when your health runs out.
Controls
- Desktop: A/D to move, W or Space to jump, S to drop through platforms, mouse to aim, left-click to shoot, right-click to dash.
- Mobile / tablet: On touch devices the action is handled with on-screen movement, jump, and aim/fire controls in place of the keyboard and mouse.
Robo-Butcher tips & strategy
- Prioritize health upgrades early in the shop so you can survive longer waves before investing heavily in damage.
- Use S to drop through platforms to dodge groups of robots converging on your position rather than getting cornered.
- Save the right-click dash for when you're nearly surrounded - it's your main escape tool when health gets low.
- Keep moving instead of standing still to shoot; robots spawn from multiple portals and can flank you fast.
- Return to the shop between waves whenever you have enough money - small, frequent upgrades add up faster than saving for one big purchase.
What makes Robo-Butcher fun
The mix of platform-arena movement, portal-spawned enemy waves, and a persistent shop for upgrading health and weapons gives Robo-Butcher a roguelite-style push to keep going one more wave.
