About Blob Wars

Blob Wars is a fast-paced .io-style arena game where you control a small blob with one instinct: eat anything smaller than you to grow bigger, while staying away from blobs that are bigger than you. The core loop is survival-of-the-biggest — every run starts you small and vulnerable, and touching a larger blob ends the run instantly, sending you right back to the start. There's no tutorial or hand-holding, so the whole game comes down to reading the arena and making the right eat-or-flee call in the moment.

How to play Blob Wars

1. Drop into the arena as a small blob.
2. Move toward blobs smaller than you and glide over them to absorb them and grow.
3. Watch for blobs bigger than you — touching one ends your run immediately.
4. Keep growing by eating smaller blobs while steering clear of bigger threats.
5. If you get eaten, the run ends and you restart from a small blob again.
6. Try to become the biggest blob on the board and survive as long as possible.

Controls

• Desktop: Arrow keys move your blob around the arena.
• Mobile / tablet: Touch/drag controls to steer your blob, as with most browser-embedded io games on touchscreens.

Blob Wars tips & strategy

• Stay near the edges early on so fewer directions can be threatened by a bigger blob at once.
• Chase isolated small blobs rather than ones near clusters guarded by bigger blobs.
• Don't get greedy — size up a blob before moving toward it, since a wrong guess ends the run instantly.
• Move in short, deliberate steps instead of committing to long paths through the crowded center of the arena.
• If a bigger blob starts closing in, break away early rather than trying to outlast it near the middle.
