God of Light is a physics-based light-reflection puzzle game developed by Playmous, starring a small glowing character named Shiny. Each level is dark until you redirect Shiny's beam of light through mirrors, prisms, color-changing crystals, and black holes so it reaches the flower-like Source of Life, waking it and lighting up the scene. The core loop is about angles: reposition and rotate reflective objects until the beam bends exactly the right way to clear every obstacle.
How to play God of Light
- Click (or tap) an object on the level to select it, then drag to move it or rotate it into place.
- Aim Shiny's beam so it strikes mirrors and prisms at the right angle to redirect it toward the Source of Life.
- Use color crystals to change the beam's color when a puzzle element requires a specific color match.
- Route the light around or through black holes, which bend the beam's path, and past rotating multi-mirror structures.
- Light up the flower-shaped Source of Life to complete the level and unlock the next one.
- If stuck, use the Fireflies hint feature (unlocked partway through the game) from the top-right corner to see a suggested path.
Controls
- Desktop: Left mouse button: click and drag mirrors, prisms, and other objects to move and rotate them; click and hold to aim or redirect beams.
- Mobile / tablet: Touch and drag to select, move, and rotate mirrors and other light-bending objects on the level.
God of Light tips & strategy
- Study the angle of incidence on each mirror - small rotation adjustments can completely change where the beam ends up.
- Solve black-hole sections by tracking how they bend the beam rather than assuming a straight path.
- Save the Fireflies hint feature for levels where you're genuinely stuck, since it's introduced later and limited early on.
- Look for rotating mirror structures and time your final placement after they stop turning.
- When a crystal changes the beam's color, check whether the target needs that exact color before moving on.
What makes God of Light fun
The game blends elegant, glowing visual design with genuinely tricky physics-based puzzles across 75 levels split into three worlds, and each new mechanic (color crystals, black holes, rotating structures) adds fresh problem-solving without changing the core drag-and-aim loop.
