About Face Breaker

Face Breaker (originally released by indie developer PitiGameDev as "Brik Brok: Face Breaker") is a Breakout-style arcade game with a pixel-art, retro look. You control a paddle to keep a bouncing square-faced ball in play and smash it into rows of blocks across 45 levels. Every bounce off the paddle makes the ball a little faster, so the challenge ramps up continuously as you clear each level.

How to play Face Breaker

1. Move the paddle left and right to keep the ball from falling off the bottom of the screen.
2. Angle your paddle hits to send the ball into blocks and clear each level's layout.
3. Watch the ball's speed - it increases after every bounce, so react earlier as levels progress.
4. Clear all the blocks on a level to advance to the next of the 45 stages.
5. Keep timing your paddle position instead of chasing the ball, since speed builds up fast.
6. Avoid letting the ball pass your paddle, or you'll need to try the level again.

Controls

• Desktop: Move the mouse to control the paddle, or use the left/right arrow keys. A connected gamepad also works.
• Mobile / tablet: Touch and drag on the screen to slide the paddle left and right.

Face Breaker tips & strategy

• Stay centered near the middle of the play area early on so you have room to react either direction as speed increases.
• Hit the ball with the edges of the paddle to angle it toward remaining blocks instead of just bouncing it straight back.
• Because speed compounds with each bounce, prioritize clean, controlled hits over aggressive rallying.
• On tougher levels, clear blocks from the outside in to avoid narrow bounce corridors that are hard to control at high speed.
• If you're on mobile, use small, precise drags rather than big swipes for finer paddle control.
