Blumgi Racers is a fast, physics-driven browser racing game where your car doesn't just drive, it flies. Built by solo indie studio Blumgi (in collaboration with Venturous) and released on Poki in August 2024, it drops you onto wild, platform-style tracks suspended in the air. You accelerate across ramps, launch over gaps, and tap the fly button to glide, boost, or reposition mid-jump so you land wheels-first and keep your momentum. Every track is a time trial: beat the clock to earn bronze, silver, or gold medals, then replay to shave seconds. As you progress you unlock a roster of cute, colorful cars. The controls are simple, drive, tilt, and fly, but mastering the balance between speed and landing angle is where the real challenge lives. It's bright, bouncy, and pick-up-and-play, sharing the same cartoon-physics charm as the rest of the Blumgi series.
How to play Blumgi Racers
- Press W or the Up arrow (or tap accelerate on mobile) to drive your car forward and build speed across the track.
- Use A/D or Left/Right to tilt and rotate the car, especially while airborne, to control your landing angle.
- Tap Spacebar (or the on-screen fly button) to make the car fly, gliding over gaps, clearing hazards, or boosting forward.
- Aim to land flat on your wheels to preserve momentum; landing on the roof or missing a platform costs you time.
- Reach the finish before the clock runs out to earn a bronze, silver, or gold medal.
- Press R to restart instantly and replay levels to beat your best time and unlock new vehicles.
Controls
- Desktop: Drive with WASD or the arrow keys (W/Up = accelerate, S/Down = brake/reverse, A/D or Left/Right = tilt and rotate the car). Press Spacebar to fly, and R to restart the level.
- Mobile / tablet: Touch controls: on-screen buttons to accelerate, brake, and tilt/rotate the car, plus a dedicated fly button; tap to restart. Playable on phones and tablets.
Blumgi Racers tips & strategy
- Feather the throttle off ramps instead of holding full speed, controlling launch distance is how you land on the platform rather than overshooting it.
- Use A/D (or Left/Right) to rotate the car mid-air and line up a flat, wheels-first landing, landing level keeps your momentum while landing on the roof wastes time.
- Use the fly button to smooth out awkward jumps and glide across gaps rather than committing to a risky ramp launch.
- Chase gold medals by taking the lower, tighter air routes, less airtime means a faster overall time than big looping jumps.
- Press R the instant a jump goes wrong instead of waiting to crash, protecting your medal-run time.
- Replay early tracks to internalize the drive-tilt-fly rhythm; the later levels reuse the same physics with tighter timing.
What makes Blumgi Racers fun
A physics-based flying-car racing game with wild platform tracks suspended in the air. Core hook is that every vehicle can fly, letting you glide over gaps, clear hazards, and reposition mid-jump. Simple, accessible drive/tilt/fly controls with a high skill ceiling around landing angle and momentum. Runs free in the browser on desktop and mobile (phones and tablets), no download or install required. Part of the broader Blumgi series of bright, cartoon-physics arcade games.
