Alien Bubbles is a bubble shooter with a story bolted on and, unusually, the story changes how the game feels. You play a dinosaur defending Earth from an alien invasion, firing arrows from a launcher at columns of colourful bubble invaders descending toward you. Mechanically this is the classic form of the genre, match three or more of a colour to clear a group, but the invasion framing means the board is adversarial rather than inert: the bubbles are coming for you, and the game asks you to choose your shots strategically rather than clearing tidily from the nearest edge. Power-ups are the other half of that decision, and the game is explicit that using them wisely is the point, which in practice means saving them for the moments when a column has advanced too far to clear by aiming. It is whimsical in presentation and genuinely tense in play, which is a harder combination to get right than it looks.
How to play Alien Bubbles
- Aim the launcher at the descending bubble invaders.
- Fire an arrow to match three or more bubbles of the same colour and pop them.
- Stop the columns before they reach the bottom of the screen.
- Choose shots strategically rather than clearing the nearest group by default.
- Deploy power-ups to break up advances you cannot clear by aiming alone.
Controls
- Desktop: Mouse to aim, click to fire.
- Mobile / tablet: Drag to aim, release to fire.
Alien Bubbles tips & strategy
- The invaders are the clock. Always ask which column is closest to the bottom before asking which group is biggest.
- Power-ups wisely used is the game's own advice and it is correct: spend them on an advance you cannot aim your way out of, not on a convenient cluster.
- Clearing a colour entirely removes it from your launcher rotation, which is worth a shot in itself when you are close to it.
- The whimsical art makes it easy to play loosely. The descent does not care, so treat it like the classic descending-ceiling shooter it is.

Alien Bubbles FAQ
Is Alien Bubbles free to play?
Yes, free in the browser with nothing to install.
What is the premise?
You play a dinosaur defending Earth from an alien invasion, firing arrows at descending bubble invaders. The framing is light but it does mean the board advances on you rather than sitting still.
How do power-ups work?
They break up advances that ordinary aiming cannot clear. The game rewards saving them for a column that has got too close rather than spending them on a convenient cluster.
Is it a classic bubble shooter underneath?
Yes. Match three or more of a colour to pop a group, with a descending threat that ends the round if it reaches you.
