Mixed World Weekend is a puzzle platformer and the sequel to SoftGames original Mixed World. Each level drops a mix of round red monsters and cube shaped ally creatures onto a set of platforms, and the goal is to knock every red monster off the platforms without losing any of your own blocks. Your cube creatures have different abilities, such as sliding into monsters, grabbing them with a long tongue, or firing an energy bolt that can destroy obstacles, that you combine to solve each layout.
How to play Mixed World Weekend
- Look at the level layout and figure out which cube ability can reach and push the red monsters.
- Select or activate a cube that can slide to push it across a platform into a red monster.
- Use a cube with a long tongue ability to grab a red monster or another block and pull it toward the edge.
- Use a cube that can fire an energy bolt to clear obstacles or walls blocking a path to a monster.
- Knock all the red monsters off the platforms to clear the level, while keeping your own creatures from falling.
- Move to the next level once the board is clear of red monsters.
Controls
- Desktop: Mouse only, click a cube character to activate its ability, then click a direction, platform, or target to move, slide, or grab.
- Mobile / tablet: Touch controls, tap a cube to select it, then tap where you want it to move or which enemy to grab.
Mixed World Weekend tips & strategy
- Plan the order of moves before acting, pushing one monster off can change the paths available for the rest.
- Save the tongue grab for monsters sitting just out of reach of a straight slide.
- Watch platform edges closely, it is easy to accidentally slide your own block off along with a monster.
- If a level seems unsolvable from the first move you try, reset and look for a different cube to move first.
What makes Mixed World Weekend fun
The variety of cube abilities, sliding, tongue grabbing, and energy blasts, turns each level into a small logic puzzle rather than a simple push and clear game, and the cartoonish monster and cube art keeps the tone light even as the puzzles get trickier.
